Your roleAs Business Development Manager – Regulation-driven Markets, you take full ownership of developing and expanding Titan Molgas’ renewable gas portfolio by leveraging European and national regulatory frameworks. You identify, structure and close regulation-driven sourcing and sales opportunities, translating compliance obligations and incentives into commercially viable business models.
You combine deep regulatory understanding with execution power — able to move from policy analysis to business case, and from stakeholder alignment to signed contracts.
Your responsibilities include- Driving business development activities across the renewable fuel value chain, with a strong focus on:
- Biomethane & BioLNG
- REDIII/FQD fuel tickets and compliance mechanisms
- ETS / ETS II and FuelEU Maritime implications
- Monitoring, analyzing and interpreting European energy and fuel regulation and national implementations, including RED, FQD, ETS, FuelEU and related frameworks
- Translating regulatory targets, obligations and incentives into:
- Sourcing strategies (feedstock, producers, certificates)
- Sales propositions for transport and marine customers
- Commercial value propositions around compliance and decarbonization
- Identifying and structuring sourcing and sales opportunities with producers, technology providers, regulators, certification bodies and investors
- Converting market data, regulatory developments and pricing mechanisms into bankable, commercially viable business cases
- Leading negotiations and closing complex contracts aligned with Titan Molgas’ long-term strategy
- Co-developing pricing models, sourcing strategies and go-to-market plans together with internal commercial, regulatory and technical stakeholders
- Acting as Titan Molgas’ commercial point of contact for partners and clients on regulation-driven opportunities
- Working together with different Molgas country organizations to capture and implement opportunities.
The role involves regular travel within Europe and close cooperation with Titan’s commercial and technical teams in Amsterdam, Madrid and Norway.
Your profile
Your profileYou are a results-driven, entrepreneurial business developer who understands how regulation shapes markets and how to convert that into growth. You thrive in complex, evolving environments and can navigate confidently between policy, commercial strategy and execution.
You bring:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sourcing, trading or consulting, preferably within energy, fuels, commodities or sustainability-driven markets
- Strong hands-on knowledge of European fuel and energy regulation, particularly RED / RED III and FQD; familiarity with ETS, ETS II and FuelEU is a strong advantage
- Proven success in originating, structuring and closing complex, multi-stakeholder commercial deals
- Strong analytical, financial and regulatory understanding of energy and fuel markets
- A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to translate regulatory complexity into tangible commercial results
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English; Spanish, French or Italian strongly preferred
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Willingness to travel and to be based in Amsterdam
