Job description
You will be in charge of closing biomethane sourcing contracts, identifying concrete trading opportunities in European markets, and focusing on translating complex data and information into actionable trading opportunities. More specifically, you will be tasked with trading, portfolio management, commercial contracting, translating new sustainability regulations into business opportunities, and working on business cases.
On a daily basis, you will be involved with trading, negotiations, and contracting with biomethane/BioLNG producers, maritime customers/prospects, technology providers, regulators, and investment funds. This job involves regular travel within Europe. In the ever-evolving EU biomethane market, business development is a highly challenging job one that requires outstanding interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

- Increase and maintain supplier portfolio with Biomethane Producers, technology providers, brokers, large counterparties, regulators including investment funds
- Managing trade, counterparty, compliance and contract risk in line with broader strategy
- Pricing of gas and certificate risk and flow
- Market research and analysis of the European markets & Regulation
- Responsibility for closing new biomethane sourcing contracts in Europe
- Becoming the main information source for counterparties you trade with
- Co-developing sourcing and trading strategies with analysts and other colleagues
- Keeping track of Dutch and European sustainability regulation
